Meet tamara paltin

Tamara Paltin has served as the West Maui Councilmember since 2018, leading through the COVID-19 pandemic and the August 2023 wildfires. Before entering public office, she worked as a county emergency medical responder and led several nonprofit organizations, including Save Honolua Coalition and West Maui Preservation Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/Education and is a graduate of leadership programs including Kuleana Academy and the Ka Ipu Kukui fellowship.
